Note that the geotagging process is based on the timestamp that the digital camera puts in the photo. So, synchronize the date, time and timezone of your digital camera with the date, time and timezone of your iPhone/iPad before you start recording locations. Note that the setting for Daylight Saving Time should also be the same.
If you recorded locations with another GPS capable device and imported the locations with a GPX file, you should synchronize the GPS device.
