Why does the photo counter keeps spinning?

Unpredicable behavior while geotagging photos in a Mac shared folder is most of the time caused by a WiFi device (router, AirPort Extreme, ...) on your WiFi network.

So, if your GeoLogTag counter spinner keeps spinning or if the geotagging progress bar gets stuck, your WiFi network is probably unstable.

A workaround for this is setting up a dedicated WiFi network between your Mac and your iPhone.

Another possible cause is Bluetooth interference. Since WiFi and Bluetooth share the same physical iPhone antenna to send and receive signals, it’s best to disable Bluetooth when you are using WiFi.
