How do I set up a dedicated WiFi connection between my Mac and my iPhone?

Setting up a direct WiFi connection between your Mac and your iPhone is pretty easy. On your Mac click on the AirPort icon in the top right of your screen:

If the network is set up, open the Settings app on your iPhone and choose the new network in the WiFi setup. Geotagging to a Mac shared folder should be stable now.
