Why are my geotagged RAW photos not visible in Aperture 3 Places?

With the release of Aperture 3, Apple introduced Places and also extraction of metadata from XMP files. This is a perfect combination for RAW shooters who want to geotag their photos with GeoLogTag.

However extraction of GPS info from XMP files was introduced in Apertures 3.0.3. Upgrade to that version (or higher) if you haven’t done it yet.
